For those who’ve had their head in the clouds the past few weeks, 3dcart recently released v6.0, a reimagined ecommerce solution designed for growth. The new version houses dozens of enhanced features, but for the next few minutes, we’d like to take an in-depth look at those now offered by Canada Post.
Canadian-based e-merchants will be thrilled to discover that 3dcart has made Canada Post’s Web Services a native feature inside its shopping cart solution. Now, 3dcart store owners have direct and immediate access to one of the most trusted and reliable shipping carriers in North America.
“As a Canadian e-merchant and 3dcart user, I couldn’t be more excited about this partnership. Now my business will have the ability to effectively streamline our shipping services to provide a more effective ecommerce experience for our company and its shoppers,” said Ron Warris, CEO of Quadica Developments Inc.
Thanks to the recently strengthened relationship, 3dcart store owners are now able to:
- Provide accurate Canada Post shipping rates, both international and domestic, to shoppers during the checkout process
- Print and track shipping labels directly from the 3dcart’s admin interface
- Have custom control over label options such as signature required, proof of age and more
- Include required information for customs exports, like reason for export, HS Code, country and province of origin, etc…
- Send a tracking number to shoppers once an order has been shipped
In order for 3dcart merchants to use the above-mentioned features in their online store, they will first need to contact Canada Post to obtain a contract number, API Username and API Password. Once those pieces of information are in place, one simply needs to login to their 3dcart Store Manager, navigate to Settings --> Shipping --> Shipping Settings before locating Canada Post at the bottom of the page. Once there, simply enter each credential by clicking the “Enter Credentials” button. Now, fill out the required fields, choose the imperial or metric measuring system, select your delivery options and click “Register with CA Post” to complete the process. It’s that simple.
Together, Canada Post and 3dcart are revolutionizing the ecommerce industry one satisfied customer at a time. Click here to learn more about Canada Post and the incredible web services they offer.
